This pack contains:

a.  ROCKET SIGHT WORDS -  A Tin of 202 high frequency words that young readers will encounter in the early years of schooling.  These words are organized into thirty ‘rocket’ lists.  To make lists more manageable for beginning readers, Rockets 1 to 16 include five words per rocket, Rockets 17 to 25 include eight words per rocket, and Rockets 26 to 30 include ten words per rocket.  The number of words per rocket increases as the reader becomes more able to master a greater number of words.
Rockets have been used to excite young children about words and to motivate them to:
‘zoom through words like a rocket!’

Each word is printed on the front of a card (business card size).  On the back, the word is used in a sentence, with a picture to help prompt the reader’s recognition of the word.
The words are packaged in an attractive silver tin to help keep cards sorted.

b.  Rocket Sight Words Chart – A colourful A2 chart recording all the rockets and their words.
 A wonderful resource to hang in your child’s room, allowing them to revisit the words that they are learning or have learnt!  It can also be used as a wonderful spelling resource when your child is learning to write stories!

c.  Rocket Sight Words – Colour as you Know Student Workbook  – An A5 workbook that includes each rocket word list.  Beside each word, are three rockets that students colour when they read the word correctly.  Revision activities are also included.  This workbook also includes strategies for parents to use to help their child/ren master the sight words.
