The Prep Collection – BORN2READ
Welcome to The Prep Collection! This collection introduces young children to readers that reinforce the first 104 high frequency words! This collection has eight levels. In Levels One to Three, there are four sets. In Levels Four to Eight, there are two sets of readers.
WHERE DO I BEGIN?
If you are just starting this exciting journey, begin at Level One. These readers may seem extremely easy for your child, but it is essential that they are covered because they are teaching some very important concepts such as:
- left to right navigation
- words as individual units of meaning
- sentences containing more than one word
- using pictures to help gain more meaning,
- and most importantly, reading being meaningful and enjoyable!
If your child has had some reading experience, you could begin at a higher level. Check that your child can confidently read them as it is better to start on a level that your child can read with confidence. This builds a successful platform on which to build greater reading.
