Through the BORN2READ® Kindy Kids Experience, children:
• are engaged in reading as they relate to the BORN2READ® characters;
• are active learners as they dramatize the storyline;
• engage in the reading process through experiencing text that is repetitive or includes rhyme, making it easier for them to join in with reading;
• experience reading with the support and guidance of their teachers and parents, as they learn valuable pre-reading skills;
• make connections between their life and what is happening in the text (see over for just a few connections and suggestions); and
• have the opportunity to engage in communication with their teachers, through the discussion of the characters and the life-like events these characters enjoy!
