| BORN2READ was established in 2006 by Katrina Casey, a qualified and registered Primary School teacher, with over twenty years of experience, and more importantly, a mother of two children. Katrina's qualifications include a Master of Education, Bachelor of Education, and Diploma of Teaching. In 2009, our first retail outlet was opened at Southport, Gold Coast. BORN2READ is committed to helping parents teach their children to read. We strongly believe that the time to start your child on the reading journey is from birth! Reading daily to your child is essential to unlocking the world of literacy for your child. We stock an amazing collection of books in our Retail Store to help you select the most appropriate ones. At BORN2READ, we have designed three unique reading programs to continue to nurture your child's reading journey: Picture Sight Words, Pocket Words for Preppies and Rocket Sight Words. We recommend that these programs begin from the age of three years. (Of course, every child is a unique learner, so your child may be ready to begin a little earlier or a little later. Phonics also plays a major role in the reading process and to help with this, we have an Alphabet Pack and Phonics Packs for different ages. All BORN2READ products have been designed as a result of extensive research and testing.
